Brief bio
Takashi Kohno received the B.E. degree in medicine (1996) and the Ph.D. degree in mathematical engineering (2002) from University of Tokyo, Japan. Since 2004, he took the job of a group leader in Aihara Complexity Modeling Project, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Japan. He is a professor in Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo since 2018 after taking the job of an associate professor in the same institute since 2006.
Research interests
Designing of silicon neuronal networks and their application to neuromimetic information processing and robotics. Techniques of nonlinear mathematics are utilized in the design of ultralow-power silicon neuronal circuits. More theoretical aspects of spiking neuronal networks and neuronal circuits are also included.
